Pure javascript; tested in major browsers (IE, Opera, Mozilla, Netscape); can be customized with styles; convenient user interface; incremental date/month/year change without opening the calendar. Has functions that: create the calendar (fieldname is a parameter) with an optional date Date (DD.MM.YYYY / YYYYMMDD formats), set a year range allowed, enable/disable the calendar, set a date, display an error message, return the selected date etc. OnChange event is supported for advanced scripting so that multiple calendars on the same page can interact. The problem of overlapping Select's in IE is resolved. For browsers that do not support the calendar (mostly Safari) simple lists for selecting a day, month and year are displayed as a fallback. The date value is stored in a hidden field so the resulting value has the same format and server-side scripts need no change.

This unique calendar, constructed using a textarea, enables you to look up the calendar for any month of any year. Use the drop-down menu to select the desired month. Quite exceptional.
