Yorp

The Yorp access control system allows you to protect areas of your site, only allowing access to selected users. The system is lightweight but powerful. Users will be asked to sign up or log in when they try to enter a protected area of the site with a friendly prompt. There are no ugly HTTP logins. You can have multiple protected areas, and serve almost any type of file, including PHP and CGI files. Each area can have different levels of access to different groups of users, and you can require validation of accounts by email or manually by an administrator. A user can belong to any number of groups. The full feature list is on the site.
